There are hundreds of recipes out there for these little gems. My last recipe, No-Bake, High Energy Date Bites, is still great, but it has higher carbs and I just wanted to try something different. Not only is this packed with ingredients that will give you energy, it will also keep you full for hours! I also love the hemp hearts! I bought a giant bag of them (probably way too long ago) and never knew what to do with them. I threw them in here for texture. They almost taste like white chocolate. These are a perfect compliment to a meal plan for someone who must. have. sweets. and chocolate!
1 C. - old fashioned oats
2 Tbsp. unsweetened coconut flakes
32 g. dark chocolate chunks
50 g. Hemp Hearts
1/2 C. sugar free maple syrup
256 g. natural peanut butter
2 scoops chocolate protein powder
Process your oats first. It is just easier to mold than whole oats.
Throw everything else in the food processor.
Pulse until fully combined.
Use spatula to incorporate any left out ingredients along the sides of the bowl.
Form the mix into 10 balls.
Get everything ready before you start! It's so much easier than collecting while you go.
Remember to pulse the oats first. If you totally don't mind whole oat pieces, then don't. But the bind together much better post-pulse.
Fully combine and get all the good stuff packed down in the corners, too!
Make your balls and try not to eat them all, immediately. : D I put mine in snack size bags and right in the fridge for the week.
