How Much Protein Do We Need?

I've been asked this question so many times. Honestly, over the last ten years, my answer has changed about three times! There are always studies revolving around this topic, at this point, I've done enough studying on my own and have formulated my own opinion based on said research and my own trials. I encourage you to do the same by finding out what works for YOUR BODY. In addition to this video, there are four links below to help you get started on your own research. This is certainly one of those topics that is NOT a 'one size fits all' approach. Potentially, you could do damage to your body by following an approach that does not fit your needs.


Keep in mind, special populations need different protein amounts, too. A good example is a male with testicular cancer. This is an individual that needs a Registered Dietitian and Physician guided nutrition help to determine protein needs and where those needs should come from. What works for one person should never be assumed or directed to another individual.
