Post - Workout/ Control Smoothie

This smoothie is more than a perfect pair post-workout, it is packed with protein, slow-digesting carbs AND bonus...an appetite suppressant. I'm almost 6 months post delivery of little Geo and I'm loving my DoTerra Slim & Sassy mix. It is a small sachet of concentrated greens that really work! My sister swears by it, too. I hit the ground running when cleared by my O.B. to exercise, lost all but a few pounds of baby weight and took a break. I needed to readjust to life with baby and shift my focus for a minute. BUT, now I'm back on track and pumped about this smoothie! I can tell a difference using the Slim & Sassy. My sister recommended it and, again, I love it. If you don't have it, you can easily sub a handful of spinach to get the greens but it wont have the key ingredient for the appetite suppressant. If you need to order some, go HERE.

For any other nursing moms out there, this is also includes flax seeds for that extra milk-boost! M.I.L.F $, right? Sorry for my tacky humor, but if you haven't watched the new Fergie video, it's hilarious. Still not sure how I feel about tit. I mean, it. Not sure how I feel about IT.

ANYWAYS, nursing or not, and working out or not, this is a great smoothie, and an easy one to prep for the week. I put my pre-made mix in mini tupperwears so each morning I just toss it in a cup, pour my milk and out the door I go. Post workout I have it all ready to go.

I didn't say this is a pretty smoothie...

Here's the back of the DoTerra Slim & Sassy mix:

Ingredients:

  • 1 DoTerra Control instant mix (or 1 scoop Life Time Greens)

  • 20 g - Rolled oats

  • 20 g - Chocolate or Vanilla Protein powder

  • 1 Tbsp - Ground flax seeds

  • 4.5 oz - Almond milk, unsweetened

  • ~2/3 to 1 C - Water

  • 2 - ice cubes

Preparation:

Combine in the blender and pulse until smooth

Calories: 252

Carbs: 25 Protein:22 Fat:7
