Funfetti Cake Dip - 100 Calories

I've mentioned it before, but for those of you who don't know, my husband and I are addicted to funfetti cake. Not just the cake, but funfetti in general. We've made funfetti cookies, funfetti cupcakes, funfetti pancakes, funfetti fudge...EVERYTHING funfetti, we've made it, or so we thought...

That was until my sister made FUNFETTI DIP from a pin on pinterest. I had NOT seen this variation of funfetti yet! I woke up one weekend wanting cake, and thought of this as a great alternative. When I made the pinterest version (plain yogurt, cool whip & cake mix) it seemed too heavy. I made some adjustments, keeping out 3/4th the cake mix (less sugar/carbs/fat) and added in applesauce to sweeten the Greek yogurt; TA-DA! It's STILL to die for yummy! This is a really fun alternative to store bought brownies/baked goods/etc. and fantastic for the kids, too!

Speaking of kids - my 8 yr old niece loves this, too!

I have made this several times and it typically only lasts for 3 servings. That is a little embarrassing. We throw self control out the window here. Just my opinion, if you are making it for more than 4 people, just do a double batch.

Serving suggestion (not included in calories below):

  • Strawberries

  • Chocolate Animal Crackers

  • Sugar Free cookies

  • pancake or waffle topping

  • a spoon also works just fine by itself!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 box Funfetti cake mix

  • 1/2 C applesauce

  • 1 1/2C fat free cool whip

  • 1 1/4 C fat free Greek yogurt

  • 2 Tbsp sprinkles

Prepare:

  • Remove cool whip from freezer - let it sit 3-5 minutes

  • Spoon cool whip into large bowl and add Greek yogurt

  • Combine using a hand blender

  • Fold in cake mix and applesauce

  • Top with sprinkles

  • Eat immediately or chill up to 8 hours before serving.
